Arrived at the site about 6:30am cold waiting for the sun to come up. Been whipping about an hour and a half trying the GT icecream lure first since its my farthest throwing lure that can cast more than a 100yrds. Its a great lure to have especially if you want to get it across the bay without having to walk across to the other side. Its a fun and easy lure to cast with lots of top water action. No luck! so I used the Kaku lures and no hits.
Finally I used my wax wing lure that travels under the water with lots of zigzag action. First cast caught an Uku, second cast missed a Dasu, wax wing worked awesome. Before I left I used one of Markwhite lures and got a hit and reeled up a papio.
TIP: Always carry different types of lures that works above the water and below it. Sometimes the fish can be picky. Also carry different size lures that catch small, med and big types of fish just never know what’s in the ocean.
